What it fixes
- Rooms that overheat — west-facing glass in late afternoon is the usual complaint
- Glare on screens — the reason a lot of home offices get filmed
- Fading — UV bleaches flooring, furniture and artwork, and it is cumulative and permanent
- Privacy — ground-floor rooms facing a street or a neighbour
What it does not fix
Film is not insulation. It reduces solar heat gain coming in; it does not meaningfully stop heat escaping in winter. If your problem is a cold room, film is not the answer and we will say so.
Privacy film that works one-way in daylight reverses at night when your lights are on and it is dark outside. That surprises people. If night privacy is the goal, film alone is not enough.
The one real risk, stated plainly
Applying film to double-glazed units can cause thermal stress on the glass, and on some units it will void the manufacturer's seal warranty. That is a genuine risk, not a formality.
We check what glass you have before quoting. If your windows are under a warranty that film would void, you deserve to know that before we take money, not after.
Commercial
Offices and storefronts are much the same job at larger scale, with the addition of glare control for screens and sometimes security film. Mobile is the only way this gets done — nobody removes storefront glass and brings it in.

Will film void my window warranty?
On some double-glazed units, yes. It is a real risk and we check the glass before quoting rather than after.
Does window film keep heat in during winter?
Not meaningfully. It reduces solar heat coming in. If your issue is a cold room, film is not the fix.
Is one-way privacy film really one-way?
Only while it is brighter outside than in. At night with your lights on, it reverses. Worth knowing before you buy it for a bedroom.
Can you do a whole house?
Yes, or just the problem rooms. Most people start with the west-facing glass because that is where the complaint is.
