The thing most people get wrong

Almost everyone shopping for tint is really shopping for one of two different things, and they need opposite advice.

If you want privacy or the look, darkness is what you are buying, and a mid-range carbon film does it perfectly well. Spending more will not make it look better.

If you want a cooler car, darkness is close to irrelevant. Heat is infrared, which is invisible — a nearly clear ceramic film can reject more of it than a very dark cheap one. People buy 5% dyed film expecting a cool car and end up with a dark hot car.

We ask which one you are actually after before quoting, because the honest answer changes completely depending on the response. The film types compared.

And the thing nobody tells truck and SUV owners

Washington law lets trucks, motor homes and multipurpose passenger vehicles run film darker than 24% on every window behind the driver. A large share of SUVs and crossovers are classified as MPVs by their manufacturer. If yours is, you can legally run a genuinely dark rear while keeping the fronts legal.

Check the label on your driver's door jamb. If it says TRUCK or MPV, you have options most shops never mention. More on that.

Questions we get

Do you really come to me?

Yes, that is the whole model. Your driveway, your street, your workplace lot - wherever the car is. You do not need to drop it anywhere or wait around.

How dark can I legally go in Washington?

24% VLT or lighter on front side windows, with reflectance at or below 35%. Trucks and multipurpose passenger vehicles are allowed darker film behind the driver. We check your vehicle's class before quoting.

Is ceramic tint actually worth it?

If your goal is a cooler car, yes - it is the only film type that meaningfully rejects infrared heat, and it does it without needing to be dark. If your goal is looks on a budget, carbon is the honest recommendation.

How long before I can roll my windows down?

Several days, depending on weather. Longer in winter here than in summer. Rolling a window down early is the most common way a good tint job gets ruined.

Do you remove old tint?

Yes. The film is the easy part - the adhesive is the work, and the rear defroster lines are what require care.

Will tint block my phone or GPS signal?

Only metallic film does that. Dyed, carbon and ceramic films do not interfere with phones, GPS, keyless entry or tyre sensors.
